Have you often thought about the standard of Theology in the World today. Of late we can truly say is a cheat counterfeit transaction filled with utterances of personal emotions. Since we have many titles for theology today; moral, patristic, Mariology and others we should welcome this recent addition to the different schools and call it Spin Theology. This new genre with its sister spin scriptural translation and commentary is now the norm welcomed ushered into the religious world by the words promoted by this press release (Spin)
Towards An Ecumenical Bible.
Just such a translation, carried out in the
Let us note, here, that the separate publication of the Old Testament, without the New Testament, is unprecedented for Christians. A review of this new ecumenical translation cites a statement made in 1950 by the Parisian Orthodox (Spin)-Theologian and ecumenist Dr. Paul Evdokimov: "While closed, the Bible unites us. But when we turn its pages, the open Bible divides us. We interpret it differently. We read different truths in it." In order to overcome the "different interpretations" of the Bible, the team of translators decided "to hold out a hand to the Jews." And how was this rapprochement realized? Here we have it: The translators of the Old Testament were wholly guided by the Masoretic text, i.e., by the Jewish text, that established by rabbinical tradition and put forth in Jewish Bibles.
Furthermore, in the foregoing comments from the French press, we read: "Until Christians and Jews actually unite, the current state of Judaeo-Christian relations entails nothing analogous to this ecumenical translation of the Bible. However, a positive prospect can be found in the fact that, in recapturing the original meaning of certain difficult elements, as well as in the composition of a wide variety of notes, the interpreters have used the works of such great Medieval interpreters as Rashl, Kimkhi, and Ibn Ezra, and, in addition, have cited modem Jewish Biblical scholars. With regard to methodology, great heed has been shown to two principles in this significant venture: the scientific method and collaboration.
There you have it we will translate the truth into a new truth our spun truth and now we are all happy.
I feel very strongly about this subject as I believe as Christ taught us that a divided house will fall and certainly different protestant cults are growing faster than the Catholic Apostolic Church. This view is contrary to the figures published by Rome. The Catholic Churches spend a great deal of time evangelising themselves eternally. That will undoubtedly receive the ire of many; definitely among the Prelates. My viewpoint is simple and I wait with certainty for the denial that this argument is a simple one. Which again is contrary to Christ's words on simplicity.
"Am I missing something in the Latin-Orthodox differences? It seems that in the Laying on of Hands by the Orthodox Hierarchy they somehow impart or the Holy Spirit proceeds from their high-priestly actions during their Sacred Mysteries. They as Christ did breath the Holy Spirit into the candidate at Baptism and Chrysmation and yet they have the temerity to claim the Holy Spirit therefore proceeds from them and then deny in their version of the Nicene Creed (by omission) it does not proceed from Jesus Christ the Second Person. What kind of Holy Trinity do they acknowledge? Their strident denials and the teachings they impart to their flock indicates a dreadful lack of grace, indeed a certain lack of intellect which should be blessed by the 'Reminder" promised by Christ. The Paraclete who was to come to renew, anew, in our minds Christ’s teachings. What a tremendous sin of pride we might see as they deny to Christ what they claim for themselves? What kind of grace and from where does it come as they claim such a great power for themselves?" Do they in fact deny Christ in this instance? It would seem so.
