Who is to blame for M/S Pelosi's errors
Nancy Pelosi, the schismatic catholic democrat, certainly has no clue or insight to and lacks the teaching of the Church on conscience and the natural law. Personally having read on Zenit, a hierarch's views, just recently, then listening to a homily on the subject of conscience and the natural law by one who I believe has read one or two of my blogs, causes me to admit the hierarchs do not know, the difference between our reminder and natural law. I re-iterate my taught knowledge and make a recommendation to you all to read Fr John Hardon on the subject of teaching children how to form one's conscience This blog of mine, these views may be considered, by many, a misfortunate reading. I was taught by Jesuits who were the theologians, who wrote most of the early Catholic Truth Society pamphlets/tracts. Pelosi should be made aware of the insufficency of her words. We cannot be taught the natural law. It is an impossibility, what is natural cannot be formed. The Jesuits in their good days taught Free will, an informed conscience, and then the burden of choice. What Pelosi should have said and it would have been more honest is, "I made the decision to commit a grave sin for a political accomodation, that is power and votes".
Let me agree with her on the union of the Body and Soul. The Church does not actually teach when the heart or soul comes after conception. We should all, those whose intellect is in Holy Communion with God through grace, be able to arrive at a reasonable assumption. It is sanctifying grace that gives us access to the Divine Intellect and not many can make the claim to this grace today because of the lack of both good will and use of the Sacraments of the Church. One indication of the lack of this grace is the lack of fortitude that follows the theological Virtue of Faith. That is a catholic teaching by the way.
Continuing on, with my statement on the union of heart and soul, the Church does not teach it exactly but common sense in interpreting a forgotten teaching will help. We all know the heart and soul are inseparable in this world. One can read the two books of St John Eudes, “The Immaculate Heart of Mary”, and “The Sacred Heart of Jesus” and read all of the scriptural quotations from the Douai Rheims/Latin Vulgate Bible of his times to comprehend the union. The Church teaches when the heart stops and we die then the soul leaves, separates from the body, to stand before Jesus as the Judge. Conversely then we can say when the hearts starts to beat God institutes a union in us that is holy. It consists, as he told St Gertrude "His Paternal thoughts for our creative life". It consists of part of His infinite thought (wilol) for us. Of course we can get caught up in the chicken and the egg syndrome on this point. I mean we become totally part of God’s thought for us, His image and likeness, yet because of Adam’s disobedience the soul is almost immediately upon this union overshadowed by the shell of concupiscence or as M/S, Pelosi may come to find and then understand it is our prediliction to reject God through sin.
There was a Catholic Professor at Leeds University, a convert, who published his findings in the Holmiletic and Pastoral review. His essay showed he was able to record the heartbeat four days after conception. We know from the Swedish Gynecologist who visually traced and proved his claim publishing them in a book, widely read at that time, this is possible. This book was recommended and shown to women pregnant in Ontario. a book that visually tracked the sperm from the moment of intercourse. He ably demonstrated, it is possible to record such journeys of the male sperm. One can think therefore, as modern instruments have become more and more sensitive, it is possible perhaps to track more closely, visually and audibly the start of (a) the first heartbeat and (b) its sound.
Then there is the tv and radio record, that was all the rage at the time, of the primal scream of the Australian Doctor who was able to trace his journey as a sperm into his mother's womb and his swimming in the amniotic fluid in his mother’s womb and her attempts to abort him. It frightened her that he knew. No one else except her did. This was never denied by any one at the time.
M/s Pelosi is obviously more opinionated than knowledgeable and that is unfortunately the habit of so many in the Church today and demonstrates the lack of teaching in the Mystical Body today.
