It sometimes hits me at Sunday mass how can anyone in the Church today really believe in the Apostles Creed? How many say it and, if their mind is truly in gear, and I add especially at the Novus Ordo, really believe the Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic, from the view of the Churchmen and the offering. I grant without exception, She is Apostolic and so are the Churchmen.
Holy I cannot and do not see. Very few present are in a state of grace. Why do I say this to those who are in a visible state of denial? First it is a recognizable and known fact very few of the laity, a number which even the Churchmen admit too, use the sacraments. It has always been taught that we are not holy enough to receive Holy Communion without the Sacrament of Confession. Of course we have those in the Church who in their pride and conceit claim to confess their sins directly to God. Does He, who instituted the sacrificial priestly ministry to be here on earth for us, hear them? Why would He unless there is no immediate way to confess their sins sacramentally? I know and have conversations with Catholics who readily admit to me, they have not gone to confession for many, many years. When questioned why do you receive the Blessed sacrament, they tell me, "God will always be there for me, He loves me". One said it is none of your business, you are not a priest. So much for fraternal unity. He will be there alright, the one time we can count on, face to face with a stern but severely judicious God. Tell them of their errors Father or you will have to admit to God your errors.
One, that is a joke today each parish has had its own private revelations and practice the Novo Ordus accordingly and without exception break the Church’s instructions as they feel fit. There is I can say without condemnation, no relationship between the Novus Ordo of the Vatican than that acted out at the local parish church. There is little or no unity in the Church. Most pick and choose what they, in their opinion, feel is correct for their lifestyle. Abortions, Birth Control mechanically, it matters not what is taught, we take what makes life easier and pleases our feelings best.
The error that most concerns me is the reason today, for the Mass, never is what was always taught historically. First and foremost in Catholic Teachings, deliberately put aside today, is the true title for the Rite, ritual or whatever you wish to call it, to me it will always be the Holy Sacrifice of the
The Father sacrificed His Son, and the Son sacrificed Himself for the forgiveness of our sins. We must do likewise in His image. Are we not to strive in every way and all our powers to be like Him? Was that not what His life here on earth was all about? To live the life He came to demonstrate to us. To resist temptation, to act in a spirit of self denial and discipline, to love God and surrender to His will, to love our neighbors. To paraphrase His words, did He not direct us that if we love Him we will keep His commandments? He could only offer Himself to God, His Father because He was the perfect offering. There is no way we can imitate Him and offer ourselves if we have not striven to be perfect, which state we approach after a good confession in the sacramental rite Christ instituted. These efforts as the Church used to teach but has forgotten causes God to bend over us, we His children, to lift us up in His arms. That is He condescends to make up in us that which is missing in us, which is Him. This will never happen unless we accept the singular graces He gives us through and only through the Sacraments.
If we continue to be a personal abomination that is desolate. No Trinity in the Interior Chamber of our soul, I ask how long will God tolerate this state as the numbers in His Church of this state grow more and more day by day. So the Church declines and slowly but surely the Wrath of God approaches
