RCIA, What good is it and where are the errors?
I cannot say how many of the priests who read this have ever attended the RCIA program in their own parish. Two parishes I went to did, one was abysmal never warning of taking the Eucharist in an attempted state of grace. He strongly resented my questioning him. At the first opportunity he left me in no doubt from his words on a rainy street corner late at night of the great favors he would do me when the chance arose. He did too. What he did not realize I was not frightened by him. One other parish the RCIA was given by a strong founding member of the enchanted sisterhood a feminist and most of what she said was drivel. It was extremely schismatic and opinionated another example of the private revelations that abound in the Church today and stay uncorrected. Tell me fathers why is this? Do you not bother to listen in at any time and as long as you do not know it is OK.
Let me give you my biased run down of what I have found. It will be disjointed but you can easily get the drift perhaps even understand my concern which should be the Church's too.
One woman told her class the next Pope should be a woman, a black woman with physical disabilities, in fact she , herself would be a better Pope that JP2. The priest did nothing. The same woman agreed it was a good plan that a mother had put her 13 yr old daughter on the pill, "God knows what girls of that age get up too". When challenged no way was she wrong. The woman who challenged her was told by the parish priest he agreed and removed the challenger from the program at the first opportunity. This was the local parish.
I have found that many of the teachers are recent members of the Church and the class is formed of people of the same former christian sect and nothing catholic is taught as catholic just a general discussion where all and sundry agreed on some schismatic understandings of our dogma. That is if they ever get away from social justice.
One class a grandfather turned up a baptist extremely irate that his granddaughter was going through these classes by foolish catholics. He was disruptive arguing each step. The priest would not see him and never returned the man's telephone calls as promised. I met the man in a local store and after a few moments he was not interested in my views. I and many like me will never be allowed to teach the catechism today. We are devoted to the Church and can give a good defense of her doctrines and dogmas. We are not wanted are we because those who want to join us do not want to change, just want us to accommodate their theology. hen challenged the same fools who run the religious program from the Chancery Office throw up their hands and say not another of those traditional catholics. Instead they should say we do not need this kind of orthodoxy. No one will join us.
Make enquiries and prove me wrong. I cannot stop you and at some time the Local Ordinaries will have take responsibility, either now or before Christ at their final judgement. You want names numbers and witnesses they are available.
