RCIA, What good is it and where are the errors?
I cannot say how many of the priests who read this have ever attended the RCIA program in their own parish. Two parishes I went to did, one was abysmal never warning of taking the Eucharist in an attempted state of grace. He strongly resented my questioning him. At the first opportunity he left me in no doubt from his words on a rainy street corner late at night of the great favors he would do me when the chance arose. He did too. What he did not realize I was not frightened by him. One other parish the RCIA was given by a strong founding member of the enchanted sisterhood a feminist and most of what she said was drivel. It was extremely schismatic and opinionated another example of the private revelations that abound in the Church today and stay uncorrected. Tell me fathers why is this? Do you not bother to listen in at any time and as long as you do not know it is OK.
Let me give you my biased run down of what I have found. It will be disjointed but you can easily get the drift perhaps even understand my concern which should be the Church's too.
One woman told her class the next Pope should be a woman, a black woman with physical disabilities, in fact she , herself would be a better Pope that JP2. The priest did nothing. The same woman agreed it was a good plan that a mother had put her 13 yr old daughter on the pill, "God knows what girls of that age get up too". When challenged no way was she wrong. The woman who challenged her was told by the parish priest he agreed and removed the challenger from the program at the first opportunity. This was the local parish.
I have found that many of the teachers are recent members of the Church and the class is formed of people of the same former christian sect and nothing catholic is taught as catholic just a general discussion where all and sundry agreed on some schismatic understandings of our dogma. That is if they ever get away from social justice.
One class a grandfather turned up a baptist extremely irate that his granddaughter was going through these classes by foolish catholics. He was disruptive arguing each step. The priest would not see him and never returned the man's telephone calls as promised. I met the man in a local store and after a few moments he was not interested in my views. I and many like me will never be allowed to teach the catechism today. We are devoted to the Church and can give a good defense of her doctrines and dogmas. We are not wanted are we because those who want to join us do not want to change, just want us to accommodate their theology. hen challenged the same fools who run the religious program from the Chancery Office throw up their hands and say not another of those traditional catholics. Instead they should say we do not need this kind of orthodoxy. No one will join us.
Make enquiries and prove me wrong. I cannot stop you and at some time the Local Ordinaries will have take responsibility, either now or before Christ at their final judgement. You want names numbers and witnesses they are available.
A Bishop's letter
There is not a hierarch, bishop or priest who does not have the same information and knowledge as this Bishop, whose letter can be found on the following link. A bishop I might add who knows his priests and gives gives the impression he is a father to them. What do these leaders in the Church do with this information. It seems some try to use it for the good of their flock, some use it to further their popularity thus giving rise to the thought they will sweep it under the carpet. Overall we might also think many of them lack any trace of fatherhood, not stern and good but pusillanimous and would rather get on with all and sundry to get by without conflict. They forget, probably deliberately, Christ told us there would be conflict because of Him. I read with wry amusement the announcement from Rome on a tract to be prepared concerning the value of Confession. What a joke! this is a teaching we should as Catholics literally imbibe with our Mother's milk. What was the use of Christ's appearance here on earth if we do not use the gifts He left with the Church. can you at least make the effort, instead of hiding facts, get together, get united, get on the same page and teach and insist that we follow, to use what Christ gave us. If you cannot do it for the sake of our souls at least do it for the sake of yours.
This Archbishop condemns the new practices that have sprang up in the Church. The instruction on many of the practices surrounding prayer and behavior in the church will condemn many of the practitioners and their instructors for a hot time in the darkness of their nights. No one can hide God or dismiss the reverence His Presence demands and do it with impunity.
By the way many priests, I have been told on different occasions never bother their bishops trusting they can do what they must and should do for the good of their parish. Is this statement made under my pressure when I ask some to look into the state of the beliefs and actions in their parish. That is not for me to wonder. It is for all concerned to examine their behavior. What a dreadful state of affairs for a priest to admit this to a layman. What a sorry state of affairs it is for this to be the current behavior amongst many priests. It is tantamount to saying we cannot trust our father. Is there anyone who can remedy this awfulness?
