The Feast of the Most Precious Blood
I give you glory and praise Lord Jesus Christ, Beloved Son of Mary and thank You for the most precious gift of Your Life’s Blood poured out upon the world to bring us to a life of everlasting grace. Amen That is about right. I hope many of you believe it too. As His Passion and death drew to a close, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with the help of a soldier forced out all upon the world that He had left in His Heart. Then with the words, “All is consummated”. He mixed with the clay on the mountain the mortar was formed. The mortar that sealed us to Him in His Church. I mean His Church, not the plaything of the Pharisees and Sadducees of the Church today. Fortunately, blessedly there are among the Sacerdotal Priesthood those Josephs of Arimathea, who struggle to treat the Mystical Body of Christ with all the devotion and respect they can, continuing as far as possible the real truths of Christ’s words. So today I pray to ask that for each drop of the Precious Blood Christ gives incessantly for us will be used for the reason it was given. I ask for each drop to wash clean a poor soul in Purgatory for them to rise in glory in the presence of God Himself. I ask that the memory of the Blood and the example given by Christ will move the Members of the Church to true contrition and the mortar renewed in our Church’s foundations and the sand of the false teachings and opinions abounding in the Mystical Body today be blown away by the Wind of the Holy Spirit. Today if it possible for any one they should read the Precious Blood by Fr Faber. It is a very good but long meditation on the Precious Blood by a Priest Mystic, whose hymns used to sung with such fervor (Faith of our Fathers) If there is any book written in our Church that will move you to make reparation and atonement for our spilling of the Most Holy Blood, this is the one.
