In the adventure books I read as youth growing up, there was a way of healing incurable wounds of various sorts. The cure was always justified by a very trite saying. Poisoned arrow wounds, gangrenous sword wounds, sores poisoned by pointed sticks that were stepped on all were treated successfully by a red hot poker/sword. The hero claimed with justifying words, "I can't fix that wound but I can fix a burn",. That is what the Church needs a red hot poker applied to the many sores and cankers that have been inflicted internally to Her, by her opponents inside and outside the fold. But as Christ brought a sword, which He gave us to use, let us individually and together heat the sword to a white hot glow (zeal) and apply it ruthlessly to the fools and vagabonds who very deliberately and with malice wound our Mother the Church.
I was reading the comments on a priestly blog yesterday, from it, and yes it hit me very harshly between my eyes that catholics really are not very interested in their faith and do not want the Church Herself to peer too closely at who they are and what they believe. So therefore avoid the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These unfortunates use the statement in the dreadful Wolfenden Report made for the English Parliament, again in the sixties, which claimed the Church has no right in the people’s bedrooms. A so called catholic woman in the UK used it last week to justify her denial of the Church's teachings on Birth Control. She did not recognize that fact.
This blog as I started to write it was about homosexuality, but there are other problems that are endemic I believe that cause other problems that come from the same root source, "MONEY". There are and always will be the usual pompous typical intellects spouting about bent genes but never about advice and example on how to avoid these temptations not of our own making and probably not our temptation but from the works of others. There is a complicity there to sin of some kind when we eat drink, sleep and are addictive. All these may be against creation but not all three can be held against our behavior. I can see some of the sin must stick to individuals but power does corrupt and there are some businesses and individuals who will answer for what their actions have done to others as for profits they change food manufacturing to suit their business ethics. Read on you might find some sense. Yet it can be said some of the above intellects do come very near to what is the problem that exists. They are turning in the wrong direction for reasons, blaming the individual for disorders beyond their personal control when some other source is the answer to the outrage committed on them and against creation. I do pity and pray for the poor mother whose child or children practice a disordered life. What kind of lifeline can we throw these parents? Is it right to tell them they were born with a bent gene, when greed for money has corrupted the food chain and medical techniques? How disgusted these parents must feel about themselves, when told they provided their children with a bent gene? Will the truth be told when it may perhaps start a fight with the Multi-National agni and pharmaceutical businesses? These groups will defend their profits and sales vigorously with every secular means at their disposal and in the very secular way of Deny! Deny! Deny! The basic problem is obviously the Bishops do not wish that fight. Then it is Catholics, unadvised and untaught do not really know what, why when or how live as a Catholic. They cannot know in this case what are the very basic acts of charity towards fellow men. We are being led by bishops into a dreadful way, an ignorant way, and a very rudimentary idea of social justice, which if we look, we might find to be entirely opposite to Christ’s teachings. Remember Fathers, “It is better that a millstone is tied around our necks and we are cast into the deepest of Oceans, rather than lead our Children into a mistaken life". There is the way of truth, a straight way which we should follow rather than the silliness of father theologians who see mistakenly Christ’s way is full of Sunshine and Flowers not hardships and sufferings. The bishops seem to be adopting the ways and teachings of the fallen and mistaken. I think that the so-called fathers of today’s church in North America have chosen the Prosperity Doctrines of many evangelistic sects and will willingly put aside Humanae Vitae to evade poverty in a disguised manner . They tacitly say in hidden words and by their actions and funding too many children make you poor so take personal care not to have them. sex is so good therefore as God gave it to us, use it but do not have children. "Forgive then Father, if You can, for they deliberately know not what they teach".
First as a Catholic of very many years I remember that Genesis says, "Man and woman He made them". This is of course Adam and Eve who were the primogenitors of our human race. God is perfect and cannot sin or have sin as His forte so Adam and Eve, were perfect in all facets of what were and what we should be. Genes, DNAs, RNAs whatever we consisted of were 100% as they should be by God's mind. Do we not know that God’s creation is always perfect? It is a church teaching over the years, that sin will change us. Concupiscence has made a real mess of our lives spiritually and then physically. We are born from the genes of our parents and there is evidence today that some are born without eyes, some without hearing, some without a leg or an arm and these are the visible signs. In recent times Thalidomide gave rise to some dreadful results to the babies of the sixties. There are many medical treatments that truly change our bodies and the sensitive faculties. Drugs we use us for good or bad reasons, to cure or to satisfy our addictions or to cure us, even to calm those habits which the Church labels as passions, forms of lunacy or depression have results not reckoned with. Nuclear destruction gave us dreadful sores and missing limbs. This was not God but our sinful searching for power, money and control. The quest for the power which money gives us, that gives us control over others lives, that leads to prostitution or illicit sex leads us to sexual diseases. All of the above seems to have come or is coming has come to a apex in our times. Now we add to it a dreadful pride to make money and control from looking beautiful through sport????
Honest if we are we count the cost from the drug culture and using it to change our bodies in fearful ways a sort of medical experimentation upon ourselves without the scalpel.
I give you a here a link that describes aptly the hurry to be attractive enough to win cash, false respect and a body more perfect that the one God gave us. I apologize for the photo try as I may I screwed up the article every time I tried to remove it. Look how steroids and estrogen can change the body and in this case it is temporary. I ask you to finish the article and see how money and the making of it and how pride drives this aspect of so many young peoples lives.
Oestrigen or Estrogen is so prevalent in the world today in amounts that were never seen before. It is, from the use of Birth Control as it is known the majority of the women in the western world do use these drugs to alter the workings of their body bequeathed to them by God Himself to thwart the Thoughts He had when He created them. This chemical is many times more prevalent in the world today, that sewage farms are now equipped to filter it out. It is in milk due to Bovinesomatotropin and any Internet search will tell you where it is used and who is its manufacturer. The Bishops who are supposed to watch over our spiritual welfare missed the danger of this chemical and it has changed the human body by effecting the body’s workings and one does not have to be a highly qualified scientist to read experimental results and treatises. Try here and here:
We have an article that caused waves when published by Narth, the National Association for the Research and Therapy for Homosexuality. What have the Bishops done to understand and teach on this most poignant subject from the pastoral view of saving souls wandering in such a disordered wilderness< Anything at all that can be taught to the unfortunate parents amongst us?
Then we have the other product that we ingest every day through our food, another problem which the Bishops seem to have missed or perhaps Rome missed. I mean the GMO food that we eat whom by Catholic Witness is receiving with the Bishop’s weapon of either ignoring or having no comment.
Here are I believe two articles for your consideration.
Now I am not able to judge the veracity of the links above but you can all of you can read them and make your own personal conclusions. It is for personally to ask yourself is this smoke and where is the fire? What is the truth in these links are they by reputable people and do they concern us as catholics in the light of our brothers and sisters around the world?
