Confusion caused by lack of logic and teaching
There are many habits, customs, and other actions seen today's Church. All of which were not there 40 years ago. Can it be said, I wonder if the Lord our God was a trifle lazy and had no eye out for His community and His children in the first 2000 years and of course the Hebrew times before the last two millennia. Can any of you think of any reason to believe what I have just written? I certainly can't. If the Lord our God was, as the catechism teaches, everywhere then I must ask why would He so neglect us. Personally, the times from the sixties and seventies, became a time when we knew this following thought but never heard it stated, we knew but never said it for discussion. We sure did act it though. It was the time when it was acted out that we believe in God but we do not believe what He said. We went as Catholics from tepid to mediocre to minimally faithful, rationalizing the easy way we live and encouraged to do so by the Hierarchy. In many personal opinions it was it seems that, He said this, but He meant it this way. So many cults make Christ out a liar or a dimwit with no logic. What a dreadful insult to the Divine Intellect from so many scripturally foolish followers, of whom,I ask politely today, “Was Jesus Christ a liar? Why do so many deliberately, and without a clear thought in their head make Him so?
Some call turning to Him an Epiphany, when what they need to experience is a metanoia. Tell me who can understand what gifts do these epiphanists bring to God, as did the Magi on that day? This feast commemorates the symbolic acceptance of the manifestation of Christ by the gentiles, represented by the Magi. What sinful gifts do we bear to our epiphany with the corruption of the meaning of the feast? What we should be seeking is forgiveness and offering a penitent feeling for the dreadful ways of our life. It should be a change of lifestyles a new way to live, a “metanoia”. That is the Gift we should be offering.
We have lost the habit of Confession in the Church. Any book, that is any good book on exorcism tells of the reluctance of those possessed to use the sacraments. Is this the case, or is it simply that Bishops and Seminaries not fully understanding or believing are unable to fully convince either themselves and the laity or trainee priests of the efficacy and meaning of the sacrament. First and foremost, the Bishop in his promise at His anointing undertakes as a sworn sacred duty to teach and defend the truths of the Church. When I read or see of the lack of the use of this Sacramental Channel of Grace I cannot but feel that someone somewhere is not keeping his promise to God, his promise to the Laity and is losing souls left right and center. It is another habit for Catholics to believe the Liturgy forgives sins or a good act of contrition will do. This is an act of perfect contrition in which we promise and make, mean, live a proper life and never will we sin again with the help of His grace since we have offended the perfection of God. Is this the contritional act they mean? It was never taught by the Church, that a good act of contrition forgives sins, never was it taught by the Church, without the following conditions. One, it is only efficacious when used in state of dire emergency; two, there is no priest readily available.
How can anyone not go to confession, the sacrament that revivifies us and forgives sins, restores in us as we should believe, sanctifying grace? It seems this is also a new thing in the church, we do not know what sanctifying grace is. How can any catholic in his or her right mind not use what Christ died to obtain, and use His act for our spiritual health, I mean the power to forgive our sins and leave it in the hands of His Apostles for the life of our souls. He could have done it a whole lot easier after all; He is the creator of All Things. Have we forgotten He died to show us the how much sin pains Him? Sin is that dreadful time when we deliberately and somewhat maliciously separate ourselves from Him. It makes us in many cases feel good in this world, readily giving up the Eternity, He earned for us. When catholics who have been given the whole mystical life to be gained and renewed through the sacraments and our sacramental acts, then state by our actions, we do not need the sacraments. How can they then think an act of contrition is enough to make things right. Are we so selfish that we can say and truly mean You did the difficult part we can coast along just fine. Wait ‘til you see the hard times in eternity and just how lonely we will be in eternity as he treats us the same as we treat Him. He will separate Himself from us as He said in scriptures. We will live in a kingdom where everybody hates each other and with good reason. We will exist surrounded by those who were led astray by our bad example. Consider how they will treat us for all eternity. That is the fairness in the Justice of God. “I will do for you what your love did for Me, and grant you the same love you had for others”.

Thoughts that pose serious questions
How can any Catholic be a liberal modernist? Does not the very actions of that way of thought and life, condemn the words of Christ?
"Let your yes be yes and your no be no, anything else is from the devil. I often think so many say, "I believe in God, but He really did not mean what He said, in my opinion He meant this....."
Is this not the maybe, the perhaps of wickedness of private revelation and of personal opinion?
I have often thought of the Charismatic Renewal Movement, what I ask are they renewing? The Rosary groups they replaced certainly did not need renewing. I find these groups are in many cases sign seekers, looking for signs of their own holiness. Their so called spiritual way as a group are so different from the lives of many saints. It is no way mystical. Anyone who has read for example the Life of Ven. Mary Ward (by Maisie Ward), the story of the founding of the Loreto Sisters can easily discover a huge difference between these women who started out as a lay sisterhood and their behavior as they struggled so hard against what Ven. Mary called "Jerusalem".
What I find so disconcerting about the Renewal Movement is simple. It basically denies God's great personal statement, "I am who am". Restated by Christ in the Garden, "I am He" and the ruffians and satanic guards all fell down. (Passion by John in his gospel). They, the catholic Pentecostals, by deed, action and word say possibly God's revelations through His Church in the later centuries got it wrong. I feel that many of the Charismatics I know are singularly uninformed and led in the main by those happy in their ignorance of the Church and her history and do not want to change because of the perceived indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These people teach themselves tongues and believe it is a sign of the Holy Spirit Living in them. They do totally ignore St Paul's explicit instructions, "If no one understands you, then stop or else you be called mad". Does no one notice there is not one priest who points this out?
Present at prayer meetings, I have seen hands laid on others, anointing them with the oil of happiness, those anointed promptly fell over, slain in the spirit. I ask this when did heaven deal in death and slew any spirit that was not evil?(The Final Judgment) The million dollar question for me is simple. These pseudo spirituals, take the Sacred Humanity of Christ, the Body and Blood, the Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ in their communion at Mass, do they never fall over at this time. A time I should think, one should consider as a time very much more appropriate for a form of ecstasy. Why do they not is the question that should be asked, why ever not? Perhaps, just with their beliefs and way of prayer, perhaps it is not Christ for them?
I ask this of all of you, "When did the Church start to teach with the authority of the Pope that the Mass forgives sins, that the Eucharist forgives sins? In the old days, so disdained today, the Indulgentionam, in the catechumenal part of the rite, forgave venial sins. This was and is still taught by the Church. Who changed this forgiveness comes at the I confess or other of the many new and amazing personal and private revelations. Is it easy for the priest to maintain this charade than to say, "I wish to see you all in the confessional, practicing the sacrament? I could think that so many lacking fortitude it would make it seem so. Any of you readers have the fortitude to preach or write this in His diocesan paper? I think not. The I confess is just that an admittance we are sinful. It is for certain that is not a perfect act of contrition, how then can it forgive sins from the Church's ancient and traditional teachings? The Church's instructions on the sacrament of confession and how we confess during the Rite is very different than what the priest instructs or allows to happen.
How many times I have considered the total lack of logic in the natural intellect of the hierarchy. Logic seems far from them. They re-instituted a habit no longer necessary, i.e. the catechumens leaving before the gospel. Is there someone amongst them who does should not recognize the priest. Someone who may turn the priest over to the authorities for martyrdom? The hierarchs say certain actions fall into disuse, due to circumstances of time. The kiss of peace for example came to be seen as the deacon representing the congregation at the time during our ritual ceremony. They brought it back. The Hierarchs claim the Holy Spirit moves in the Congregation. Yet why then if so many go to Medjugorie and the number of confessions and metanoia are so huge why is it wrong? I know of a priest locally who received his vocation from Mary at Medjugorie. I will still ask why is the confessional more or less ignored, is that Holy Spirit too? Is it any wonder Paul VIth. wrote, "No more Changes the laity are confused"
Perhaps these thoughts might be worthy of consideration.
