All Conversations in My Heart
Am I seeing an Alice in Wonderland scenario, or a very real comedy of errors carried out on the world stage by the Catholic Church? Luckily the media caught off balance by the so accurate descriptions of the secular life by a highly trained and intelligent man, missed it. Well their lack of knowledge of the church certainly affected their unintelligent chatter. Did I along with many other Catholics watch Prelates from the Pope on down extolling a Cardinal about to be beatified for his teaching on free will and on following one’s conscience? I think so and yet I wonder how many priests and religious seeing it from the official view might now think of it from this position. I was as many others off stage and far from the action. Can I persuade you all to agree and see it was something of a Mad Hatter’s tea party and like Alice watch in some kind of amazed disbelief. This pantomime hidden from view by the splendor and significance of the Pope’s visit, please do not underestimate the positive results that will come. The ramifications as yet hidden will be upon us and God’s glory as yet unapparent will shine through to be revealed in unexpected ways. These same prelates and of course Mother Superiors advocate and demand the most rigorous of adherence to a vow of complete perfect obedience from those under them. Their way of life and governing is totally in opposition to Cardinal Newman’s thoughts. They demand the subjugation by their “servants” to their own personality, which in so many cases are spiritually deviant to Catholic Truths. This is a very real danger foisted upon devout committed men and women who surrender themselves to the Will of God. Even as Christ formed Peter at no time did He demand an obedience shown in the most abject subservient manner. Cannot any of you see this is an oxymoronic action that stifles the conscience of so many good men and women done in the name of rigid unrelenting obedience? I see lately that the essence of this vow is changed from obedience to the Bishop to one of obedience to the Church's Magisterium. Tell that to the Priests who have explained to me just who they make the vow to, every Maundy Thursday. If these men and women following a vocation recognized by the Church Authorities and confirmed through Church Rituals, must be crucified, then let not these men and women of heroic virtue, be forced into the servitude of an idolatrous interpretation by the spiritual fatherhood or sisterhood, which works in their everyday lives. I mean when the cards are on the table and a man or woman’s conscience rebels against the perfidious treatment of Church Dogmas by those who command them and they make it known to the Commander in question, what chance do they have to act in the truth of their informed conscience, when it contradicts the pleasure of their superiors in rank but perhaps not in grace? Obedience in this case becomes very near idol worship of a Prelate’s rank. We do not see many acts of disobedience promulgated in today's Church. Publicity of this today is often kept quiet both by Bishops, other priests and observers since great care is taken to hide these occasions. The Prelates concerned often make sure they surround themselves with self seeking and ambitious clerics who are more easily controlled by calculated promotions. Is it therefore any wonder this caused the present Pope to remind priests several weeks ago they have a vocation not an ambition. I pity the priest, prayerful and committed to his vocation, especially in a diocese where the absolute power given by these vows to these superiors who are driven by crass pride. We called this kind of See in the UK, the Dead See as opposed to other diocese, the Red See there was even a Black See. These Bishop’s who use this power in many cases to support the egos of liberal parishioners or other favorites of the hierarch in command. As far as I can see from scriptures and I do not mind correction of any kind, Christ said, “If you love Me, you will keep My Commandments”. Am I missing what Jesus meant?
Surely many of these Church dictatorial Rulers must be seen for what they are? Since the priestly vow of defending the Church from modernity was changed forty odd years ago, look how degenerate the actions of our Church has become. See how loosely the moral standard amongst the laity and some of the anointed and consecrated lives have been lowered.

Papal Visit to the UK.
By now it is probable you have read all the comments by Catholic Pundits and Biased News Reporters, all looking to interpret Our Holy Father, Benedict's STATE visit to the UK. That is the place from where to start. Why did the Queen, Head of the English Church by parliamentary Law, invite the Man who will decimate Her Church with his open handed offer to Anglican priests? It is her signature that authorizes whoever becomes Archbishop of Canterbury. Just as the weird way that Elizabeth the First entered a house in London and came out with a whole new hierarchy to fuel her protestant Anglican community. For those who wish to argue, especially those who know so much about the Anglican Church, let me give you some history. The, then Queen of England came from a family that had an heredity illness that killed them young. It was from the welsh side of the family that brought it from the welsh marshes and was probably T.B. Medical Historians when they discovered the body of the young princes who had mysteriously disappeared in the middle ages sought to find evidence of the sickness in the royal remains a few years ago. We also cannot dismiss the inheritance of sexual disease inherited from Henry 8th. Elizabeth 1st. could not ,due to these early deaths, could not find any priests left from Catholic Mary's times to become her priests. Memories are long in English religious lives, and if Elizabeth died young then Mary Queen of Scots was to replace her. She was as Catholic in English eyes as Mary her cousin; faced with this and the wholesale revenge Mary Tudor took upon unfaithful catholics and protestant heretics, no one would change.
Written in haste before I go out.
The invitation to make a state visit to the UK is a very important sign in the visit from two points of view the influence upon the dying catholic church in the UK and the influence, still a little warm of the Queen in the Commonwealth. Is the Queen thinking of coming over soon. Joining in the Anglican Community in the Papal Church would certainly avoid the law governing the succession to the Throne of England.
What of the attendance and I want to dwell upon the influence on the Papacy in this case and the importance or lack of in numbers. First we know that the Midlands are far more populated than Scotland and in Glasgow we find at least 100,000 saw him and joined in the Holy Sacrament of the Mass. In London at various events the numbers were not calculated.
The Midlands center of at least 5 or 6 million people withing a two hour drive there were not many at all in the sense of how many could have gone not including Bristol, Cardiff and other cities just down the highway.
I talked to my relatives and only two went to the beatification. I told you how for many religious memories are long and deep in the UK especially in the Anglo Irish parishes. We did not like Cardinal Newman. He did nothing in our eyes to build up the Church. His hymn Lead kindly Light was never sung in most parishes. As he wrote that hymn, he also wrote and published at the same time a very scurrilous letter against the catholic Church. So as my family told me why would we go to see him and they passed by the chance to see their Pope. By the way three hymns we sang very often after mass was Faith of Our Fathers, Full in the Panting Heart of Rome and Te Deum, all music and prayers from the very heart of the English Psyche. The Full in the Panting Heart of Rome was sang and it was the last time I heard it at the announcement we have a Pope for John Paul 2 in St Peter's Square. Cardinal Newman is known as the Father of Vatican two, another name would be the father of Ecumenism. Faber Knox, Manning and Wiseman, Margaret Ward and all the English martyrs, ith Teresa Higginson in Lancashire, the names of our heroes and heroines.
Cardinal Newman sorely persecuted Father Faber who wrote Faith of our Fathers. This is on record. Farther Faber built Brompton Oratory. Read on the internet his story, a priest dying moment by moment from dropsy I believe.
I saw in one of the finest churches after the Oratory, that is Westminster Cathedral, built by Cardinal Herbert Vaughan, the Archbishop of Canterbury kiss the Papal Ring. Cardinal Herbert Vaughan, Founder of the English Missionary Order gave the USA their first black priest. Cardinal Herbert was the true writer of the Papal Bull of Leo that denied the validity of the Anglican Priesthood. How must Canterbury must have suffered entering the Cathedral knowing this, not the stole the Pope was wearing. The man who truly built up the Catholic Church in the UK was present in the splendor of the building built under his auspices.
The insults, I believe offered by many of the Bishops of the UK, some of which are mentioned on the Catholic culture blog, were many you should read them. The final insult was that few of these prelates did not spend the time to say farewell to the Pope as he was leaving. This was mentioned by those who noticed, the British Press. Then we have the Catholic Pundits who never made the point of the Papal Statement made as the plane approached the UK His rallying cry. "A Church that changes to suit the times is doomed"
Let me make a statement that will cause many to faint with the suspected taint of heresy. Even those in Purgatory can cause Heaven to provide miracles. It is part of the Church temporal and like us can petition God, so be very careful of where people are in the future life. Be very aware that St Paul makes it very clear in Ist. Corinthians that building up the Church is the primary of all graces. It is the first of the Higher gifts in descending order followed by the lower gifts right down to the lowest, speaking in tongues.

Commentary of Stephen Glover's Blog in the UK Daily Mail
Perhaps it might be as well to read comments from the British "Daily Mail" from Stephen Glover's Blog and consider the meaning or interpretation a catholic might deduce from it.
"As for the protests about child abuse, they did not overwhelm the visit. Pope Benedict effectively admitted the guilt of the Roman Catholic Church. At a mass in Westminster Cathedral on Saturday afternoon, he moved some members of the congregation to tears when he appeared to liken the victims’ suffering to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross"......
A comment should be made this way....
Yet the popular press still rants about the priestly pedophilia. Might I ask what of the parental part in the devilish mess? How many of the ranting reporters have undergone such a dreadful humiliation experienced by their families? If they did do they stand up and be counted? Of course not like the ashamed parents of the victims they would not want their child to be victimized and literally intellectually raped of what innocence his or her child has left by the HOWLING mob of press demons eager for a good story to uplift their career and do not forget their next pay raise. They have not one whit of mercy for other parents. Like predatory cats they smell blood and it was not is not precious to them. Again I think of the poor catholic mother whose children embrace the disordered life and has seized on the bent gene theology of the disordered to justify their actions and as yet I find in reality the Parish Priest in whom she trusts cannot or may not be trustworthy.
He spoke of the ‘shame and humiliation’ brought to the Church by the scandal. These values, said Pope Benedict in his final address yesterday, had been traduced by abusive priests who had seriously undermined the moral credibility of the Roman Catholic Church...........
Another thought occurs
Hidden more we can see by contumacious bishops who have no idea of facing the crisis with fortitude and honesty. Their Fatherhood not equipped to handle such errant sons in the priesthood, hand picked by the Bishops as prime candidates for vocations, cannot admit to a mistaken choice of candidates because of their pompous intellects.
"But look at the young people in Hyde Park or those lining Princes Street in Edinburgh or those standing outside Westminster Cathedral. They yearn for the good news, and they invite moral certainty. Would it be too much to hope that Anglican bishops might learn something from the fearless commitment of the Pope?......
Here is another problem.
Look at the foolish catechesis in the Church today and we are, the Church, handing these over to the liberal donkeys who teach the Catechism to the Faithful. If I am wrong then study the stupid adaptation of the Litany of the Sacred Heart used in Hyde Park. Liturgical nonsense and puffery read by those whose egos shone through outstandingly and I say insulting in the presence of the Pope. The catholics, who put together such arrant trash that demonstrated so eloquently the state of their egos must have hurt Pope Benedict far more than the moral relatives that demonstrated against him.
