Cracks in the Church
Those portentous or momentous words written by Paul V1th. "The Smoke of satan has entered the Church. and other words he wrote around that time, "No more changes the faithful are confused", should bee deeply considered in the light of past teachings of the Church.
If you will allow me to pose a few questions. Questions if you cannot answer, ask your parish priest or local bishops. Both of whom are responsible for your religious education by their vows.
I..... Will! Does! or can God share His temple with His enemy?
2.... How many changes have been made since Paul made this demand or command?
3.....How many of the laws of Sacrifice which God gave to the Jews which Christ fulfilled are kept in the Church today?
4.....Whose sacrifice does the Priest offer or is he only a presider?
5.....What should the Most Holy Eucharist be offered for?
After you have decided the answers yourself, ask your friends and your parish priest. The answers have surprised me.

Just once ask and check.
I heard from a faithful woman the other day how this woman shared many of these blogs with a friend from her younger days. As is usual he could not wait to put me straight on my loss of hope. My mentality would drive me to turn my back, if I had lost hope. I would have driven it out of my mind as a worthless object of my thoughts. It be entirely against my nature not to dig my heels in and fight back. I personally find, in his rush, to judge me two things. One was an act of charity on his part, truly misplaced and probably born from either pride or a strange envy. An envy which could be unrecognized on his part. An envy so wrong in its application to him and to me. What should he have done? He should have prayed for me, which perhaps he did, but above all this and my recriminations he should have prayed and in the Most Holy Name of Jesus, asked God for His opinion of me. Or minimally sought his parish priests advice. I assure you all I do many times a day. Common decency and fraternal charity should have caused him to ask if I practiced my Catholicism in a true sacramental manner. Although with the renewed advent of charismatics in the Church most would ask who is your spiritual guide and not who is your confessor, a far more and salient fact.
I sinned as bad as many and more than most. I knew God existed as surely as the sun rises and sets every day but I did my own thing which I daily regret and ask that I will stay alive in this world so that at least one soul will be helped by what I try be, that is a good example, one more I might add than were affected by my bad example.
So many Catholics unaware by a lack of teaching sin with a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. There are so many unfortunates that do this without looking at themselves. They are so holy and dismiss the holiness of others. They deny any trace of the Holy Spirit in their brothers in sisters in Christ. They are like the pharisees of old they condemn as falsely as did their examples they make a unstated claim that many catholics are not sons and daughters of God and because the Holy Spirit is not apparent in the actions and words of so many who try against odds to defend the Mystical Body of Christ and her Ordinances, directives and examples. They make the same claim as the temples denizens of the ancient Jews. “You have stolen God's name”. Aquinas wrote, “There is no need for the supernatural but sometimes God's providence demands it” No quite what he wrote but close enough.
Those who are summarily taken by such gifts of God, which in reality is using the gifts we obtained by the Sacraments of Baptism, The three theological Virtues plus the virtue of religion. A return to these by Reconciliation and a strengthening by the Eucharist and a flood of God knows how virtues by Confirmation. These last virtues are a holy influx some of which are emphasized in our habits according to the thought of God as He created us and spends time forming us by the affairs and acts of our life. This is His will his vocation for us, ever present to obtain or use. Some will call it a vocation, but call it what you will or deny it, this act of God's necessity for the building of the Church. This demand exists in every Christian and it truly exists perfectly only in the Catholic Church. Only the Church can fulfill the longing in one's heart that hidden grace driven by the human need to find God and grace of our interior knowledge of the Beatific Vision from which we came. This nevre spoken of grace is certainly driven from our human memory by sin and can only be found and strengthened by the Sacraments of the Living for a living God demands a living memory.
Can it be I wonder, that those catholics who do not confess their sins in the confessional can never be righteous and are only just as were the Hebrews. I ask you to consider this from this point of view that Abraham was Just and yet he had to wait in Limbo for Christ to open the Gates of heaven for his righteousness to be give by Christ in the forgiveness of sins. To deny any of the Sacraments and say I confess my sins to God just does not work for I am sure that David after praying his Miserere so often would have rated heaven. Jesus' sacrifice is put aside as those who do not use the Sacraments for Forgiveness of Sins that Christ gave to the Church is not used. Jesus fulfilled the Old Law and to return to those uses He died to enable us to earn our salvation is asinine in a foolish extreme. I remind Bishops, Priests and Laity of Solomon's prayer for Wisdom, where he prayed a salient fact that we would do well to turn over again and again in our minds. “For even one who is perfect among human beings will be regarded as nothing without the widom that comes from You.
