What should we do with The Ocean of Mercy
We all know we do not know as much as we claim to know. If we stop just for a moment it becomes so very obvious. There are very few who will admit to gaps in their knowledge. To suggest such a fact to any Catholic in today's Church might well get a response that is quite astounding. Let alone any admittance from any approached we do not know God well at all. “No! that is not right”, one hears, “I know a lot about God”. My problem, which I readily admit is a problem, every time I think I know God, He leaves me quite confounded. God's love is quite unlike the aggravating homilies on God's love. Homilies or sermons that I have heard preached with bated breath and unctuous tones. These homilies are very aggravating honeyed words made with sighs and affected whispers. One woman sat next to me, some time ago, started heaving sighs and squirming around on the pew in a most disgusting manner. God the Son is a man, a strong virile perfect man who was a hero and talks and acts as a heroic man would. That is the love of God for us. Strong virile and protective. He loved heroically, surrendering Himself to our enemies to die for us thus giving an eternal life. I have yet to hear a priest mention that fact. There again I have probably missed it. Although I have only heard two priests mention Humanae Vitae from the pulpit
But what about His mercy and compassion. Talking with many Catholics they have very little understanding, God's Mercy, Compassion and Justice are from the same God and have an ascending order, before Heaven is opened for us. In fact Jesus Himself told St Faustina, "I am Mercy but above Me is Justice". In fact in this day and age we have forgotten that The Council of Trident came about to set straight the Lutheran Fallacies that had became a dreadful vogue in the Catholic Church. One is the dismissal of the Sacraments, especially confession to be supplanted by "faith alone can save". A lie admitted to by Luther himself. Luther confirmed, to a personal friend he used the word “alone” as it sounded so much better in German. The Reformation need to receive both the Body and Blood was justified by it was incomplete to receive one and not the other. I have always been astounded, it has always floored me, how can a group, a heretic sect without a priesthood have the Eucharist. This gives them a free reign to utilize their grape juice and different breads as they see fit. What kind of respect do every day items inspire in us? How can anyone who is only justified arrive in the Kingdom of the Righteous One. Even Abraham considered a most just man did not enter heaven until Christ died for the forgiveness of original sin.
St. Sister Faustina Marie is truly the one chosen by Jesus to make the definitive statement on Mercy as Christ wants it known. Her polish bishops and theologians put her on the Index and adamantly stated her new devotion was not necessary.God would not want, did not want another devotion. She has never officially been taken off the Index but the one Polish Bishop who knew her could not wait as Pope to justify her, to sanctify her to make her righteous as a saint is.
The gist of her revelation is so simple. The Divine Mercy is limitless, its depth is fathomless, its width and breadth is unmeasurable and one drop as the Church has taught, is enough to forgive all sins ever committed. One of the prophets, quoted by St John Eudes, perhaps it was Ezechiel, perhaps it was Jeremiah who wrote, “A woman's womb encompassed heaven”. Those words have always mesmerized me when thinking of Blessed Mary. Her sinlessness from the start, her purity was such that heaven, all of it could live in Mary's womb. Now if you want deny the uniting of her soul to her heart could not have happened if She there was even a hint of sin in the womb is not true, you will sure have a problem when Justice is applied to your life. Conception in the act of love is as the Church says in a round about way the Act of the Holy Spirit. The Book of Wisdom first chapter says the Holy Spirit flees from sinful thoughts. That is the basis of the Immaculate Conception that God's thought, His conception of Mary's soul could unite Itself to an pure Heart.
What then can we assume that the Mercy Ocean can contain. These must be able to fit in to the Ocean of Divine mercy. A title that can definitely applied to the Sacred Heart from where blood was poured out when a Roman Legionary opened His chest for to the world to see the Heart of Love. How can all these  not exist in that Heart. Purgatory, the Church from Its beginning, the Universe and anything else that needs God's forgiveness. Now Heaven cannot forgive sins since we have to be, using old English, “shriven”. We need to make perfect acts of atonement and reparation or have someone in the Temporal world make them for us. Here is how I do it. Please do not quibble I cannot  make the claim to any sort of perfection, but as Jesus says love others as I have loved you. It is the same for you and I, we must try.

Almighty and Eternal God, consuming fire of terrible jealous love, Dear Father, Creator and Lover of mankind, into the Ocean of Mercy poured out by Your Most Obedient Son Jesus Christ upon the world I place all the poor souls in purgatory, the Children that died in the womb, the Children miscarriaged, the Children torn from wombs by abortionists, all the members of the Church, all your daughters of your creation so badly abused in so many ways; may they forgive their abusers, all those in war torn lands whose families are torn apart to be ravished and raped. Into the care of this ocean of mercy I place all those of my blood, all those who are my friends and all those whom I find it so hard to like. Let every thought of This wondrous ocean cause us all to hear our consciences and double and redouble our cries of repentance and sorrow as we plead as we must for Your Divine Mercy
