Defence of Bl Mary part 4

ON MISTRANSLATIONS AND MISCONCEPTIONS

Protestants often use the verse at Luke 11:27-28, in their arguments against the Blessed Mary. In the NIV, the verse reads, "...a woman in the crowd cried out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you”' He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” The KJV and RSV read, “Yea rather blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it”.

Are these the actual words of Christ? How should we respond to Protestants who use this verse to challenge us.

This verse is something like the one recording the wedding at Cana, which we discussed above. Let us look at Luke 11:27-28 and see what it actually says. In the Greek original, the key word is "menoun." The primary meaning of this word is "this is quite true" or, "in very truth,". It may also be translated as "yea, verily" "yes, in very truth." Contrary to the sectarian interpretations of this verse, it actually reads:

Luke 11:27,28; “And it came to pass, as he spoke these things, a certain woman from the crowd, lifting up her voice, said to him: Blessed is the womb that bore thee, and the paps that gave thee suck. But he said: Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God, and keep it”.

20`There is, you see, a considerable difference here. Christ does not at all downplay the blessedness of His mother; He affirms and confirms it. Indeed, we see that the Blessed Mary is here seen to be thrice blessed. She is blessed as the one who bore Christ, blessed again as the one who nursed Him, and blessed above all other humans as the one who heard the word of God and kept it more than any other person.

It is obvious that where Protestantism disagrees with Catholic Orthodoxy, one can simply dismiss the Protestant view out of hand.

ON AN IMPORTANT POINT OF SOUND DOCTRINE

As we mentioned before, the Sectarian prejudice against the veneration of the Blessed Mary is based on their false idea of the nature of redemption. Certainly the same is true of the sectarian prejudice against God's saints. They believe all is necessary to cry out in the Name of Jesus to be saved. To admit to Him is to be born again. Where is the Water by which He originated the Sacrament. Is not the Holy Ghost the Divine Eternal Spirit of Supernatural Love and Sanctifying Grace?

Mankind had to make amends to God for the sin of man. The sin and sins of man were overcome by one man’s sacrifice. Mary was the vessel by which Mary and her Son, Jesus Christ were the mediation and reparation between God and man. It is honest to admit without Mary there was neither salvation nor redemption. Redemption entered this world through Mary, whose Redeeming Son came to restore our fallen human nature, to redeem us, and the world, from our bondage to sin, that is called concupiscence and is engrained deep in our nature. We are inclined by this interior movement of our heart and mind to follow the enticements and power of the world, of the flesh and the demon. Therefore to be one with Christ and the Trinity we have to overcome sin and our inclinations as did Christ. Mary is the Mother of the Example or the Way. Can we not therefore look to Her to obtain from her Spouse the Holy Spirit, to become absorbed with Her help into the Spirit of Holiness, that her Son, Christ, died to obtain for us.

Salvation consists in taking on by keeping or making penance and satisfaction the nature, a restored nature, which is in Jesus Christ. It is wrought by our struggle, with God's help, to acquire the Grace of the Holy Ghost, the Indwelling of the Divine Eternal Holy Spirit. This is righteousness that seizes our place in Heaven for us. Not the Lutheran Justness of Abraham, who could not reach heaven until Christ had died and opened the Gates of Heaven. Abraham resided in Limbo a jewish Old Testament place of waiting. Those special people whom we venerate as “saints”, including the Blessed Mary, are venerated precisely because of the fullness of the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. But apart from this, the veneration of saints, understanding their struggles, their penances and sufferings, many of which were self inflicted by fasting, abstinence and mortification, is an essential element in our being penetrated with a deep understanding of the nature and the dreadful price Christ paid for our redemption. Our awareness of the glory of the Blessed Mary and the saints, and our veneration of them, is actually a confession of the true doctrine of redemption. The saints, like the Blessed Mary, have shown us the true path of salvation and, having become truly participants in the perfect nature, indeed, in God Himself, they have become vessels of Divine Grace.

Often we are accused us of “praying to dead saints.” We claim, and rightly so, they are not dead but living an eternal life of grace. They are decidedly not dead. Mat 25:45; “Then he will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me. And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

John 3:15.16: “That whoever believes in Him may have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life”. Jesus did promise us eternal life and Mary and the saints earned it. Through their merits they are in the eternal light of

These antagonists are in dreadful error as they are in a ‘church’ of errors, for they do not know the Scripture or the power of God. For God is a God of the living and not the dead... Have you not read in the book of Moses how God spoke in the bush to him, saying `I am the God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: you therefore do greatly err" (Mark 12:24, 26-27).

Thus, if the righteous ones of the Old Testament, from before the “age of Grace” are still numbered among the living, how much more are those of the New Testament alive. They are living testimonies to the victory of Christ over death and the certainty of mankind's redemption by Jesus Christ, our God.

I have been given warnings many times over the last few years and I did not have a feeling or in retrospect that I should publish them but rather send them out in a way that was acceptable to the ears of those whom the whispers in my mind calls an adulterous nation Jerusalem the Church). I urge you all to take them to heart and as I was told a little later as Our Lady of Salette, dressed in a dress spun from all the gold of Ophir stamped her feet and said, "They will not pick and choose among my prophets I will fog their minds". It comes to my mind as I am writing that I had a friend whom I had a great regard for Lorna Keras for whom I often prayed. Lorna has since died and I certainly did not want her to receive the promise given me and have her mind fogged.
Was the promise and is my claim to have conversations with heaven a truthful one? well let me say this you have have to check with the local parish. One woman whom I prayed with often is placed in a hospice with dementia, the parish priest who told everyone I was crazy. Phoned my wife to tell her of my craziness, left the confessional on me twice and asked me to leave the parish because I knelt for Holy Communion and was not the kind of catholic He wanted of me. The man, the husband, who when I was sent to help her, "There is someone Michael who is crying and saying the rosary Michael go help her". I knew and went her Lou Gehrigs disease left her and a I told her it would cancer that would kill her. It did 12 years give or take a year later. Her husband in now being lead around by a minder as he is now mentally infirm. There are others at this parish and feel free to check out these facts.
So deny me if you like but heavens promises are written in stone. Here is the first of those occasions in my life where I was frightened by the strength of the whisper in my heart and mind.

I was called me from my sleep last night and told me you are to read Jeremiah Chapter 6 and as I read I knew inside me what it meant. It is a warning for Jerusalem. Set up a place of refuge for  her, She will be surrounded and besieged by those who will tame her rebelliousness and rule over her.
"Be warned Jerusalem you have become wicked and your people are condemned, unless you change, unless you learn I the Lord Thy God will destroy thee. Who will hear me. Those whose ears are deaf and not open to my warning, who do not hear My Words will be an indiction and a punishment for them. I am angry, I am tired of being merciful on those who are deaf. I will pour out my fury upon them, upon their goods and their families I will take everything from them for I will lay my hands upon Jerusalem".
Form the least to the greatest they are greedy, envious and lack charity. The prophets and the priests are false and lie. They say all is right, nothing is wrong,  they see nothing wrong with the teachings and behaviour in Jerusalem. They offer My children peace of mind  and deny the peace of My Son. return to the old ways, the good ways and your souls will be sanctified. The time of My punishment upon the priests and prophets who have given a false peace to their flocks is at hand. I appointed watchmen to warn you, you have deliberately ignored them. Look to see my justice sent upon them. Your sacrifices are abhorrent, they have no meaning. To whom are these sinful practices made?
Listen to Me, now I will scatter evils upon these peoples since they no longer obey My Laws. They have deserved this from Me.Your sacrifices are no longer pleasing. No one will be exempt all will experience my wrath. I will send as I have always done a nation to destroy you. Go into mourning and fasting for the sword of the Lord will appear silently and suddenly.

The Father Almighty and the Choirs of angels call me, "Michael, My beloved I have turned My Face to you and you will turn your face to me and you will tell them My Words. I will place My Words in your mouth and you will speak my words. You will raise your hand and I will make it mighty and I will love you and you will love me. Those who will hear you, will hear me. Your path will grow easier and I wait for you. Call out My Name and I will hear and the might of heaven will answer. Serve Me well My Child and so shall I serve you. Take My peace into your heart and carry it with you. Nothing shall harm you, for he that attacks you attacks me and then revenge will be mine. Have I not shown you? I bless you in My Name and in the Name of My Son and in the name of ourselves, the Holy Ghost. Go now and take your rest Mary awaits you".
